And so it begins...

We are finally privileged enough to join the elite world of blogging! It has been one week today since Cody and I started our new life together and to celebrate we decided to start a new blog! The wedding was such an amazing day. The weather was perfect, no wind and just the right temperature. As soon as I get our pictures back I will write all about the wedding. Last Sunday we headed off to Kimberley, BC for a week of what was supposed to be relaxation and fun but turned out to be a week of no sleep, stuffed noses and two sick newlyweds. But we did our best to get out and have fun even though we were both feeling pretty crappy. Our condo was really nice and was right up on the ski hill. We spent a lot of time walking around the Bavarian town of Kimberley.

This is Cody in front of the town mascot Happy Hans. He is EVERYWHERE! This statue was at the kimberley train station where we hopped aboard and went on a tour of the mines. It was pretty neat.

This is a place called Chef Bernards. It was where we both had our first schnitzel and spaetzel. It was soooo good! One day we went out to Fort Steele and had dinner and then rode on the train where they acted out a fake train heist. It was pretty fun and something different to do.
We spent a lot of time sitting in the hot tub and laying around. We shopped and really tried to enjoy our time together. It was beautiful weather and there were always at least 4 deer in the backyard.

I think this is the only picture we have together from the whole trip because we took turns with the camera but we are so excited to be starting our life together and look forward to the future!
