Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This year Cody and I both had to work during Christmas so we weren't able to make it home. It was weird not being with family and didn't really feel like Christmas until this morning when we woke up to open presents. But even though it was just us two we still had a lot of fun and got a lot of really fun things! One of our favourite gifts was this nativity from my parents. I have been wanting a nice nativity to put out at Christmas and this is going to look so nice every year.

I got a lot of great things but this bracelet from Cody is probably the nicest. I really love it! It is so pretty and looks so good.

Meet Larry...

Larry is the newest addition to our little family. Larry is Cody's new fish. We don't know if it is a boy or a girl but we love Larry all the same.

Cody's mom gave us a little Christmas tree made entirely out of Peacock feathers and it is pretty neat. It will be fun to put that out every year.

Ruby and Nibbles had a lot of fun too! They loved their stockings and spent all day playing with their new toys and chewing on their new treats! I know they don't know what is going on but they loved it all the same! Ruby has seemed a bit depressed lately staying in the house alone all day and not being able to run around outside and today she was so happy!

We got a lot of fun things this year but of all the gifts I received my favorite and most memorable gift was one from my Grandpa Wilde. My Grandpa is a very creative person and has spent most of his life inventing and building all sorts of amazing things. He is very kind hearted and has always been a wonderful example to me. My Grandpa is starting to get older now and isn't able to use his skills as well as he used to but he still enjoys spending time in his work shop. This year he made money clips for each of his Grand-children. It is a piece of leather folded in half with my name written on the front in felt pen and a clip on the inside to hold the money. It isn't glamourous or anything but as my mom wrote in the card for him, it was made with love. That is the most important thing and of all things that I have received from my Grandpa this is probably the one that had the biggest impact on me and is a treasure that I will keep forever. I love my Grandpa very much!

Another fun thing this year was that I got to talk to Steve for about 2 minutes! I wasn't able to be home when my parents called him and I was pretty sad about it but he said it would be ok if I called to say Merry Christmas so I did! It was so fun just to hear his voice. Steve and I have always been real close and I miss having him around but I am very proud of him!

Well now Christmas is almost over and Cody is gone back to work. We are very lucky to have all that we do and are grateful for all our many blessings this year!
